The Kids Get New Digs

The kids were hanging out in the old dog house, converted to broody chicken house then goat house. As time went by the ammonia odor emanating from their house was getting stronger. The wood bottom was absorbing all the tinkle from the kids and smelling pretty ripe. I figured it was time for an upgrade.... 

The upgrade

The upgrade got an expanded metal bottom so all the tinkle goes through to the ground. A nice bed of straw will keep the wind from blowing up their skirts. We used mostly scrap material from around the shop and house to build the rest. The roof was leftover from the chicken house (all but a small piece) and we had to buy six 2x4's for the frame. The cedar siding came from the mobile master bedroom! Hee Hee!
