Fecal Fun Friday

I'm learning to do my own fecal tests. Today was my first time and it took 4 hours to check four goats, wheew!! I'm going to have to get faster.

This time around I kind of just collected things around the house that would work for my project, except for the slides and slip covers.
Mashing Poo
This last one is not a "bug" I just thought it was barb-like and cool.

    How do you take pictures of the bugs? Very curious about that!

    I put my camera on the microscope lens. I have to switch to manual shutter to make it work with my SLR, but my old point and shoot digital took fabulous microscope pictures.

    Yup! It will be slightly more icky but Arlen wants to make sure we are taking care of them right. I'll probably do them tomorrow.

    I am so jealous. My microscope doesn't take pictures. I've been doing my own fecals for a little over a year now, and it's been very helpful.

    My microscope doesn't technically take pictures either, I put my camera on the eye piece. shhh hee hee
